About us

Who are we?

Our story starts back in 2006, when I first picked up a camera with the simple idea of capturing the world as I saw it. At the time, I was travelling extensively for my work in the international energy sector, finding myself in places most people only dream of visiting. Those journeys—through bustling cities, quiet villages, and breathtaking landscapes—sparked something in me. I didn’t just want to take pictures; I wanted to tell stories.

Over the years, I explored every genre I could get my hands on—portraiture, architecture, aerial, underwater, fashion, landscape, even light painting. Each new challenge added another layer to my craft. In 2017, I was honoured to be recognised as a Local Artist in photography by the Artist Registry of the Ministry of Community Development, Culture, and the Arts here in Trinidad and Tobago.

With that encouragement, I took the next big step. In 2018, Richard Ramirez Imaging Limited was officially born—a home for all the creative services I’d been offering, built to serve everyone from multinational corporations to young creatives chasing their own vision.

Then came the books. In 2021, I released Historic Buildings & Landmarks of Trinidad & Tobago – Volume I, capturing the architectural soul of our nation. In 2022, Volume II followed, expanding the journey to new locations and deeper stories. And in 2025, the series grows again with Vanishing Arts & Traditions of Trinidad & Tobago, celebrating the skills and traditions that shaped us—before they fade from everyday life.

Today, Richard Ramirez Imaging Limited is about more than just images. It’s about storytelling in every form—photographs, films, books—that connect people to the beauty, history, and spirit of Trinidad and Tobago. And the story is still being written.
